Terms of Use

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Use are a legal agreement between you and Anstogo. By accessing or using Anstogo, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the app, website, or related services.

If you use Anstogo on behalf of a child, student, family member, school, or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms and configure the service for that user.

2. The Anstogo Service

Anstogo helps users turn distracting app time into study time. Features may include app locking, temporary unlock challenges, SAT and ACT question banks, progress tracking, mistake analysis, saved questions, same-skill practice, parental controls, Pro tools, and Sage AI learning support.

We may add, modify, suspend, or remove features from time to time. Feature availability may vary by platform, country or region, device type, app version, permission status, and subscription status.

3. Accounts and Account Security

• You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials, device passcodes, and parental-control passwords secure.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account or device.
• You must notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
• We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe an account is being misused, compromised, or creating risk to Anstogo or other users.

4. App-Lock Features and Device Permissions

Anstogo relies on platform permissions and operating-system frameworks to provide app-lock and unlock features. On iOS, this may include Screen Time and Family Controls. On Android, this may include accessibility, usage access, overlay, or related permissions depending on the device and Android version.

You are responsible for granting, configuring, and revoking device permissions. Anstogo may not work correctly if required permissions are denied, disabled, restricted by the operating system, or changed by a system update.

Anstogo is a focus and study tool. It is not a security product and should not be relied on as the only way to prevent device or app access.

5. Parental Controls

Parental controls can protect key settings, including unlock rules, difficulty, penalties, and locked-app choices. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children, choosing appropriate settings, safeguarding the parent password, and complying with any consent requirements that apply to children or students.

Anstogo does not replace parental supervision, school policies, device-management tools, or professional guidance.

6. Free, Pro, and Sage Plans

• Free: core app-lock challenges, basic SAT/ACT question banks, test-taking tips, limited mistake storage, and limited saved questions.
• Pro: all available question banks, full explanations, incorrect-option analysis, unlimited mistakes, unlimited saved questions, and same-skill mistake practice.
• Sage: includes Pro features plus AI mistake analysis, AI reports, and personalized review guidance.

Plan names, included features, free limits, and promotional offers may change. The app will display the current offer and subscription details before purchase where required by the purchase platform.

7. Subscriptions, Billing, Renewal, and Cancellation

Pro and Sage may be offered as auto-renewable subscriptions. Subscription title, duration, price, renewal terms, and included features are displayed in the app purchase flow before purchase.

Purchases made through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another platform are billed by that platform. The platform is responsible for payment processing, renewal management, cancellation, taxes, and refund handling, unless otherwise stated in the purchase flow.

On iOS, you can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund past charges. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled through Apple’s official refund process.

If a subscription expires, is canceled, is refunded, or cannot be verified, paid features may become unavailable.

8. Educational Content and Sage AI

Anstogo provides question banks, explanations, test-taking tips, mistake analysis, and AI-generated study guidance for educational purposes. We do not guarantee admission results, test scores, academic performance, or that all content is error-free.

Sage AI outputs may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing AI outputs, checking important information, and making your own learning decisions. Sage AI is not professional academic, legal, medical, financial, psychological, or safety advice.

9. User Content and Feedback

If you submit feedback, support messages, prompts, reports, profile information, or other content to Anstogo, you remain responsible for that content. You grant Anstogo a limited license to use it as necessary to operate, improve, secure, and support the service.

You must not submit content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, infringing, misleading, or that contains unnecessary sensitive personal information.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Anstogo. Prohibited conduct includes:

• attempting to reverse engineer, interfere with, or bypass the service or subscription checks;
• using Anstogo to violate laws, platform rules, or another person’s rights;
• uploading malware, spam, abusive content, or infringing material;
• scraping, copying, redistributing, or reselling question banks or explanations without permission;
• abusing feedback, support, API, or account systems;
• misrepresenting your identity or subscription status.

11. Intellectual Property

Anstogo, including its app, website, design, branding, software, original question content, explanations, icons, graphics, and related materials, is owned by Anstogo or its licensors. Except for the limited right to use Anstogo as intended, these Terms do not transfer any intellectual-property rights to you.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, publicly display, sell, lease, sublicense, or create derivative works from Anstogo except as allowed by law or with written permission.

12. Third-Party Services and Platform Terms

Anstogo may rely on third-party platforms and services, including app stores, sign-in providers, hosting providers, analytics or diagnostic tools, AI infrastructure, and payment platforms. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply.

For iOS users, these Terms supplement applicable Apple terms, including Apple Media Services terms and the standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement where applicable. If Apple platform rules require a different result for an App Store transaction, the applicable Apple rule controls that transaction.

13. Account Deletion and Termination

You may initiate account deletion through the app where available or contact us for help with account-related requests. Account deletion may remove or de-identify account data, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, payment, and operational retention needs.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Anstogo if you violate these Terms, create legal risk, abuse the service, or if continued operation is no longer commercially or technically feasible.

14. Disclaimers

Anstogo is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation.

We do not guarantee that app-lock features will work on every device, operating-system version, permission configuration, or future platform update.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anstogo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, business opportunities, academic results, or device access arising from or related to your use of the service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Anstogo harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of another person’s rights.

17. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update Anstogo or these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the effective date and may provide notice through the app, website, or other appropriate means. Your continued use of Anstogo after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
